Which is better Big Bear lake or Lake Arrowhead?
Most people choose Big Bear over Arrowhead because there's so much more to do, from boating, fishing, and hiking to snow sports, mountain biking, and horseback riding.
Lake Arrowhead is a private lake governed by the Arrowhead Lake Association and is for restricted use by Lake Arrowhead property owners.
Lake Arrowhead is an exclusive private lake and is much smaller. Its use is restricted to homeowners in a tract of land roughly one mile around the perimeter of the lake, known as “Arrowhead Woods”.
Summertime activities range from hiking and camping to swimming and relaxing on beautiful beaches along Lake Arrowhead.
Please remember that there is no public fishing - only ALA members and their guests are allowed to fish on the lake, and boat launching is prohibited by any persons other than members of the Arrowhead Lake Association. Arrowhead Woods property owners are allowed to fish from the shoreline.
